I bought an old bike for my mother, the plan was to restore it a bit but because I know nothing about bicycles I'm having trouble.
The tires it has right now are 24"x1.75" / 44-507.
I found replacements online that are in the measurement 24"x1.75" / 47-507. So the first measurement (inches, American) matches but the second one (mm, European) doesn't.
Can I safely buy them?
Also: they look like pic related. I'm guessing the tread pattern will be good enough for her goals (slow city riding). Should I care about that?
