Because most people have an inbuilt fear of falling, and because flying is not intuitive, it's easy to dupe the public into thinking that flying is something that requires exceptional skill or courage. But, the average airline pilot is not particularly gifted, and the industry doesn't value skill so much as obedience.
>>1803659This will change and is already changing. Electric power is not very effective at replacing our current power systems outright, but you must have already noticed the shift towards smaller, decentralized hubs and vehicles. This airline industry is obsolescent.
