>>1443943Do it. I enjoyed my /n/ trip to Adelaide, you should go enjoy yourself too. But for maximum comfort, get a long haul like you say to somewhere outside the myki zones. Then you can sit on an /n/ set carriage, which beats the VLos every time.
Btw the Albury train and the XPT are standard gauge so they go through the South Dynon yards, in case you wanted to see some of the cool stuff (and the rotting stuff) that's in there. You can get off either of them at Seymour if you want the shorter trip.
