i've ridden this moser for years and years in various setups
and always had back issues with it
now that i have a bike with less saddle-bar drop it's like night and day for comfort
I built the moser back up and it's really fun to ride but I can't see myself doing 100km without hurting my back.
so, the blue bike fits me well.
the moser has 12cm saddle to bar drop. and more to the hoods
and the gunnar has 5cm saddle to bar drop
I know neither of those are exteme and this basically makes me a shitter
but it's surprising because in the drops on the moser my knees hit my chest. So physiologically I don't see how I could be flexible enough to fit this moderate (12cm is moderate right?) saddle-bar drop
And even with the gunnar I very rarely ride in the drops because it feels too low.
The moser is a 57 I think and the gunnar a 60cm. I'm 6'2. I wonder if i should just give up on the moser as a too small too aggressive bike, or get a higher stem to raise the bars significantly. And what this all means for buying a new bike. I'd like to have a new bike one day and I always imagined i'd buy some race geo bike but maybe i'm just endurance shitter tier and that's ok.
I used to care more about being cool with bar drop but now i'd just rather be comfortable for centuries.
Advice bros?
And for anyone with back pain or lots of drop who's enduring it. I can say, maybe don't. I'm sick of it.
