>>1431580Because the lake area is the main recreational area of Zürich, cramping it up just with another tourist attraction that serves 0 purpose isn't exactly popular with the locals, especially not because they would have to sacrifice half of Zurich's most popular lake bath for this purpose, have years of construction and then years of tourist jamming the area with their cars because the cable car has no public transport access. Anyway, the fucked it up so badly legally that it is never gonna happen.
