>>1132156That's pretty cool that yellow passenger Fs operated on freight trains in their later years. Were they ever repainted orange or did they retire in the UP yellow schemes? Reminds me of the MILW passenger FP45s becoming freight units when Amtrak formed because MILW was worried that Amtrak would keep them for passenger service. Apparently the FP45s didn't last long on the western mainline because crews hated their lack of dynamic brakes in the mountainous territory. They were all repainted orange and black by 1971.
