Helena, MT likewise has very short driving commutes, because no one lives there. The highways cutting through town and separating work and homes are a shame because most of the year is pleasant to walk and bike around town. But you can’t walk across a 6-lane highway. It’s just mid winters (cold and windy) and mid summers (hot, buggy, and humid) that suck.
