I just don't want to ride much bar drop anymore.
The problem with nicer old mtbs and road bikes is they're often super racey so i'm already correcting them for too much bar drop even in the right size. Going a size down exacerbates it.
Like pic rel, 60mm riser bar, riser stem, it's way up from the stock longer flat stem and flat bars. HOW did anyone tall ride those old setups on trails.
I still don't find it comfy for trail riding. I tried to like it. And going even higher is possible but it's stupid at this point. Same thing with running a huge stem on a road bike. I feel like an old man with his fred stack but even on 'relaxed' bikes that fit well my knees are still almost in my ribcage, i'm not trying to sit bolt upright at all.
