E7 has now officially enter service for the Joetsu Shinkansen with 3 sets so far (F20~22, 11 in total to replace E2 and E4s), it will have no Gran Class attendant services so food and drinks are not provided. For this year the F21 and F22 sets will also feature pink stripe and logo based on the Crested Ibis (which Toki is named from).
Upcoming changes for Gran Class services starting on April 1st will eliminate Western light meals (so no more sandwiches) and becomes Japanese only to reduce food waste.

Getting there is pretty convenient too and you don't have to pay extra if you have the right pass.
