For some reason, Switzerland is the only country in western Europe where trolleybuses are still, let's say "mainstream". Most euro countries have the odd trolleybus, Italy has quite a few but mostly in somewhat sad shape and no real intent of promoting them. Austria has just one big system in Salzburg.
But switzerland, for its small size, has literally a dozen systems, some just with one or a couple of lines, but all of them up to date and with modern vehicles (or plans to get them when the current ones reach the end of their life cycle).
Why are mountain jews the only western europeans that can into trolleybuses?
