I want to discuss toll roads and how they make traffic worse, so as you can see from the pic above, the double white lines are meant to control drivers to get out at certain openings, my problem is the method they use where traffic ends up building up. As you can see on the right we have something similar in the bay area, so picture this, people from express lane want to get out while there's a tiny slowdown people at end of slowdown get impatient and end up moving left (almost in express lane) just to cut everyone that is waiting causing way more congestion. This happens every fucking morning on my commute and I wonder how the fuck they thought this was a good idea. This is not better than what we had before, I think what would have helped much better would be to increase speed limits on further left lanes and have cops enforce moving over for faster traffic, it's a win-win because they get to ticket people going "too fast"
