I have a lot of questions so I hope the general is still alive. I bought these Shimano SPD shoes for 30€. Seems like a good price since they have only been used once and never again. Came with cleats. The pedals I bought for 20€ today, so totalling 50€ for the whole set.
They are a snug fit too. Smell of nothing but storage smell.
I didn't know if they were a good fit for the pedals so I tried them in haste. As you can see, one pedal is stuck to the bottom of the shoe. So my question is how do I get it off? I tried twisting it but it felt like I might be damaging the shoe or bolts so I stopped. Naturally on the bike you kind of twist them somehow but I don't know how. Any advice appreciated.
Also did I fuck up with this purchase? Few days ago I asked about some triathlon shoes that came with pedals and they were 40€ but I ended up not buying them since anons said a snug fit is better and turns out I don't really want hard shoes you can't walk on.
My bike is a road bike, but I'm new to them. I want to get a cyclocross or gravel to be honest, so my next question is about that.
