How the fuck do I take this thing apart? I can't get any of my pin spanners into the outer slots on the inside, and there isn't anything on the rear to unscrew. I flushed it with pb blaster and filled it with atf and it spins smoothly, but I think it needs to be taken apart since it's still just a little crunchy and I think it was a little too dry before it started to lock up based on how loud it was.
I accidentally flushed all of the grease out of my rear hub also, but again, just used atf since I have no idea where my grease is. I mean, it seems to spin smoothly again, but I'm just concerned about how long this is going to last. Should I just leave it until it dries up? It's probably going to be a week or more before I can get new bearings, but I can just go to the auto parts store and get some all purpose grease tomorrow to repack them. Again, these hubs are like 40 years old so I feel like it's probably time for new bearings.
