They chip sealed the highway shoulder west of me recently and didn't brush away the excess rocks, so I got a flat while riding on it. The rocks make it impossible to see all the usual debris that needs to be avoided.
And instead of immediately stopping to change the tube when I noticed it going flat, I tried to ride a bit further hoping to get to a cross road where I could get further away from traffic. In doing so I gave myself a pinch flat in addition to the puncture, so the tube had 3 holes in it now. I think I did that before, fixed one of the holes and put a punched tube back into my spares rotation.
I had a coyote run across in front of me on the way home. I happened to have my camera out as I was taking pictures of stuff while I was riding.
