>>1554499You don't need drops in traffic anyway, just focus on being safe in traffic, working with brakes and gears for the start, use drops aon paths where you are alone. I'm sure after a while you'll find out how to put more power on the pedals and gain more speed by usage of drops position.

I suggest following upgrades to your bike
1. flat pedals
2. If you can't get used to these fast and hard road tires (they are good quality,btw) get wider tyres, something like Specialized Trigger Pro 700×38 or the Vittoria Terreno Zero TNT G2.0 tyre
3. after these two steps and having more practice finally decide if you still wish to change the bars
