>>1541126>stamped drop outs>clip on cable routing and bolt on cable stops .eg not a single braze on part>Weinman / diacompe style levers>welded frame (yes there was a point in time where people would give you shit for this)wew lad
on the plus side its got some nice and thick tires, kind of looks like 26x1.5
and has been blessed with a suntour Rear derailleur (1982 SunTour U ?)
center pull brakes are also a good thing, I suppose they only died out due to weight weenies
anyway I wish you well on your quest for a suitable FD
maybe there is a Bicycle cooperative / Bicycle Junk yard near by
it seems like a cursed mission
as the clamp diameter could be changed by swapping out half of the clamp
so one model will be available in many clamp sizes
you may be able to find a shimano FD-AX55 that would suit (22 tooth Capacity)
otherwise something like a Suntour Sprint FD-1000 or Suntour Seven FD-1400 might work (18 tooth capacity)
just have to calculate the Gear Capacity - eg the third step
1 Determine Maximum Chain ring Difference by subtracting the number of teeth in the smallest chainring from the number of teeth in the largest chainring
2 Determine Maximum Cassette Cog Difference by subtracting the number of teeth on the smallest cassette cog from the number of teeth on the largest cassette cog
3 Determine Total Drive train Capacity by adding Maximum Chaining Difference to the Maximum Cassette Cog Difference
