>and i wasn't sure if the kool stop ones would take the standard shimano style pads.almost all holders that take inserts are going to fit either the standard Shimano road inserts or the standard Shimano longer mountain inserts. or if you don't necessarily want holders that take inserts, then Shimano and Jagwire make some and they're typically much less expensive than the holder type. I've also just shaved off the plow from the Kool Stop pads in the past.
