I doubt it will pass but it would be amazing if it did. We're still considered very affordable compared to the coasts but there still is a definite need for affordable housing in the area and providing more housing in the community will hopefully help that. Reading the comments on the online article is entertaining.
Some people are concerned about replacing relatively cheaper single family homes with 4-units will not make it possible for people to buy starter homes in the community. They are worried developers will radically transform neighborhoods and tear down all the cheaper single family homes. Then there's always the fear of rentals in an owner occupied neighborhood.
I feel like this could simply be avoided if 4-units had to be condominiums or the owner has to live in one of the units. (or both)
