In case people have missed it, the new platform for the Shibuya Station has finally opened for the Ginza Line last week. The new platform, which is 130m east of the original platform features a 12m wide island platform instead of two side platforms at 3m wide a piece. And with its completion the Tokyu Toyoko Department Store that resides above the old platform will finally closes its doors after 85 years on March 31st this year to make way for the Shibuya Scamble Square.
