Removal of the rear seats and insert a isuzu truck engine driving a generator where the Coupler was-
- much like the old Mack rail bus.
An alternative would be take an unpowered trailer from one of those German / Dutch streetcar lines and put a genset in it.
So a heritage streetcar museum can run street cars with out all the infrastructure of overhead power or even have no rail lines -- ie take them out on a short line rail during their down time like on a week end.
also use them as a ' last mile ' / branchline / extend street car lines. or someplace seasonal.
