The Baltimore LRT (rebranded to Light RailLink) serves Baltimore’s north-south axis. The network is 30miles long with 33 stations on 3 routes:
>Hunt Valley-BWI Airport>Hunt Valley-Glen Burnie (Cromwell) during off-peak, Fairgrounds-Glen Burnie during peak>Penn Station-Camden StationThe section from Fairgrounds to Camden Station began operation in April 1992. Numerous extensions occurred in the following years: >South to Patapsco in August 1992.
>Two extensions to the south occurred in 1993, initially to Linthicum and then to Glen Burnie (Cromwell).> In 1997, three extensions opened: north to Hunt Valley, a spur to Penn Station, and a branch south to BWI Airport. >In 1998, an infill station opened; Hamburg Street Station.A significant portion of the Baltimore LRT was built with a single track. Most of it was double-tracked in phases from 2003 to 2006, though some single-track sections still exist.
There is also an incomplete station between Warren Road and Fairgrounds; Texas.
