Those huge city blocks look so comfy to live in. Why were they always such failures in actual praxis? Is there any way to do the "city within a city" thing right?
>>1353957>In literally 2 weeks, I have already experienced a door breakdown. In my city, the old Düwag M8C and M8D doors as well as the newer GTZ8-B doors break down every now and then. Most of the time it's just a single door so you can just go over to the next one. But sometimes, the doors in the entire hind carriage don't open and the driver doesn't even notice. Seems to happen a lot more in summer, so I guess it has something to do with overheating.
>there's a good chance I miss my stop if I get on there and can't shove my way through everyone. (Lesson learned though, avoid the middle segment.)No no, don't do that. Can you not ask your way through the crowds to get out? Most people get out of the way and sometimes even step out of the tram if you shove them enough and ask nicely, at least in my experience.
>consecutive gaps between trains are 5, 15, 11, and 15 minutesThat's weird. You're talking about all routes combined, right? It has to make sense from an operational standpoint then.
