I feel like it's dumb to assume to a beginner doesn't want a bike they can keep and grow with and have higher quality components on. I have would recommended a Claris bike to someone but I found the indicators on Tourney to be useful when I was just getting started so I ended up suggesting that instead (better match for the budget but I still feel bothered about that and wondered if I gave the right advice).
