never really understood the front shock meme, most people I ride with don't ride trails that really need it and im talking hard mtb trails so I can't imagine why you would ever want it for a road bike or even gravel. Low end front suspension forks are too heavy shitty and have pedal bob to justify using and the high end ones are too expensive, fragile and require maintenance for me to bother. I really think it's the biggest meme in the mtb world and I'm sad to see it effecting graveltards now too.
Like theyre def is a certain type of riding you can do that one would be nice but 90% of people I know don't need one and their bike would be better without it yet it's the industry standard.
