The workmanships on those touring marketed shoes were abysmal. The gluing was bad and it looked like 2 elements would separate after a few rides. Didn't like the feeling of the upper material.
Good thing I read your comment, I will check the plates and will tighten it without a torque wrench, just by feeling, 5 Nm was too much probably.
You know what's the problem?
Even 100 bucks shoes aren't much better by the looks of it.
