>>1635953You're not wrong but there are limits. Checking one sector interferes with the ability to check others as your peripheral vision is heavily impacted by each new blindspot.
Where I live there are also alleyways and sometimes the dedicated bike lanes (which are on the other side of parked cars) will just randomly terminate because the city has so many streets that become Y junctions. Very possible for a cyclist to be entirely shrouded by trucks in the bike lane and then get blocked by the a-frame once the dedicated bike lane ends.
