They're about to spend millions to repave a street which is effectively an sunken urban freeway connecting two interstates which primarily benefit suburban drivers just cutting through the city. This project should be funded by county/state/federal sources and not by the city.
It really should even be built and should just be torn up into an urban boulevard with one lane in each direct and added bike facilities.
