But seeing a $100 charge at the pump? $200? Suddenly your two mile drive to get groceries seems wasteful. Maybe you'd reconsider driving six miles to the gym to run on a treadmill. Maybe you wouldn't pick a house 30 miles from where you plan on working, just so you can have a slightly larger yard.
