>>1015107Barring the fact that we fucked ourselves by getting rid of the streetcar network, montreal's metro covers the city WAY more effectively than yours does. Our downtown core is served by 2 lines that have two transfer stations which sit on the edge of downtown. There are rapid transit connections to Laval and Longueuil (your equivalents of Mississauga and Scarborough) and the green lines takes you far into the east end.
In comparison the 1 train has to cover the downtown core by itself which leads to terrible congestion and the 2 train doesnt really go anywhere and simply provides cross town travel for a mostly suburban area
