he is right on one thing all wheelbuilders deny, higher tension makes stronger wheels. I doubt his claim about hub "standing" on lower spokes.

I briefly rode the Gus and it was well sorted, although the area was near a MUP with no trails to test the bike in its intended environment. The cruiser handlebars are an abortion but was still able to get my hands into an okay position, and the thumbie friction shifters can fuck off. The long wheelbase and chainstays doesn't affect handling negatively imo, and I think that the industry is going to start doing that in 5-10 years. With less retarded handlebars (jones h loop?) and trigger shifters it would be an excellent laid-back camping bike, and I was thinking about making it my n+1 for that exact thing. But but but: the framesets are $1800. That would put a full build at $3k+ unless you have a lot of parts sitting around or hit a co-op bin. They are nice, but fuck that's just too spendy for what would be a limited use bike for me.
