I did 115 miles / 185 km on a Nashbar touring frame. Back roads from Philadelphia to Atlantic City, which was a nightmare to plan because I avoided most 4 lane roads.
Many side roads need to be taken to stay safe, and some are unavoidable. But a long stretch through the pine barrens/farm land was really nice
I'd only been on my bike a handful of times in the past year and went really slow. Selle Anatomica saddle made it no-big-deal. If you're suffering and have 50 miles to go you just go slower or take a break. No pain outside of my muscles.
Rode on the boardwalk down the beach at the end
This is the ride that made me hate panniers. They were like wind-sails holding me back the entire ride. I'm going to get a frame bag made to make this bike even dumber (current fork trail is measuring around ***95mm***) thanks Nashbar
