>>1510592Ok then. Managed to get one pic today with the bike in it. Longest ride of my life today, rode a modest 50 miles. Saw some ducks, turkeys and cranes on a 25 mile route from NW IL to Wisconsin. Nice prairie ecosystems, lots of wildflower and tall grasses. The first half was physical, second half was mental. Cadence slowed to a crawl near the finish and I had to walk up a few climbs. Weather was hot hot hot. It was probably too much for my fat ass but I powered through. Really glad I went through with it. I'd like to give touring or bikepacking a serious shot so I need to train for long rides.
Some changes of hand position would have been nice. Wrist pain became apparent near the end. But the 35mm tires did really excell once the path turned to gravel so I was thankful for that.
