Different scooters have different water proofing, but most of them are shit. Best one was probably Ninebot ES1/2 etc, where you have battery and controller in steering column. You just had to make sure water doesn't get inside display, which is easy enough with clear tape.
Worst one? Probably e-twow, it didn't have any seals, and battery was in the deck. You can imagine what happened to it. But it rides better, so... aaaa
But still, motors don't have seals, they just have bearings, which yes, have some rubber seals, but they aren't waterproof, sand with water gets inside of them and gets fucked.
Also fenders on all e-scoots are shit, especially rear one.
