Got back from doing my longest tour so far ( only 7 days) going from plymouth to north of bristol. Everything went pretty well, although i learnt that i need to reduce my distance on days with more climb when im doing planning. I'm thinking of doing a loop that takes in the outer hebrides in september. going down to oban from inverness, then getting the ferry over to castlebay, up the islands to harris, then back from stromness to ullapool and back to inverness. I was going to go with a friend but they've dropped out and im bit nervous about it on my own. If i do go i'll plan my route less than i have in the past and be a bit more free about where and when i go / camp.
