On a bicycle it's different IMO. Not sure if I have ever hit my jaw. Maybe once. I have cracked a helmet before from a side impact.
>>1935589Honestly I would focus on cooling and comfort first. I know a cool helmet that blocks the sun(mtb style) helps me see better and stay focused. When i get too hot on rides my mind goes into a haze and that's not safe.
If it doesn't get hot, or you are a cool cucumber then sure, get a enduro mtb/all mountain helmet with some chin protection.
