>>1446645This was a tough one. I think there's no ideal way to resolve this, mostly due to the erratic rail lines. Usually in north american cities it's an easy solution to simply run commuter trains on a bunch of rail lines, and with that you get a good backbone for metropolitan transport.
In this regard, a few commuter lines could be reasonably possible:
>Bellingham line>Abbotsford line>North Vancouver lineFor the closer suburbs, meme-y as it may seem, a LRT network would be ideal, complemented by buses and trolleybuses. Heavy rail is too expensive to build due to the area being developed, and ineffective because of low density. Prioritized LRT could easily achieve commercial speeds of 20-25 km/h, so it's ideally suited for inner suburbs.
