>>1890047Cheapest I've ever bought (aside from hardware store stuff in a pinch) were VP335. They served me well. All plastic. Cup and cone, easy to service and adjust. I switched to MKS urban platform when I lost one of the dust covers. The latter are a shameless copy of a set of pedals I used to have and the tab is really nice thats why I went with them once they were inteoduced. No regrets just like their original.
On a sidenote, I believe most if not all the cheap pedals I ever had (inlcuding hardware store stuff) was decent regarding servicing and adjustment. Often the arrangement is a nut, anti rotation washer and jamnut stacked onto the cup. I have seen regular locknuts too... it works.
