>>1072885The Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad started out as 3 foot narrow gauge line in the Colorado Rockies that had roughly 2000 miles of narrow gauge main line. There are two Narrow gauge remnants of the D&RGW left in eservice that run similar equipment. The first is the Durango and Silverton that runs on a 45 mile stretch of restored narrow gauge main line. The second is the Cumbres and Toltec which operates on a 64 mile stretch of the preserved San Juan line between southern Colorado and Norther New Mexico.
