>>1360093Poncture proof is widespread on my shithole country where our main method of transporting goods are trucks. Usually these staples and thick wires come from trucks with bad tires or poorly secured cargo. The tape put in some 50g plus in each tire but are worth the weight mostly

I signed myself to a small audax of 125km that will happen next saturday, the most i ever rode on a single day was 110km in about 4:30 hours on a single speed so i figured now is the time to increase the mileage with the benefit of gears. I'm in doubt about my setup tho, installed two water bottle holders with one 500ml and another 750ml bottle plus a mini pump and went for a short 10km ride to see if everything holds in place and the weight is noticeable. It wasn't really and everything was tight but i'm still not sure about the 1.25 liters of water, can anyone more experienced tell me if that's all really necessary for 125km? That's less than a century, it will be around 20c to 28c on the day of the ride and height gain will be 2500m. No support car or hydration stops.
