I have one alu bike, an old Klein mtb, if you're going to have a alu frame at least have one from the top tier, and it is an amazingly fun ride, especially its acceleration and climbing. But steel is where it's at. Perfect balance of a;; the traits you are looking for, comfort, strength, durability, repairability, flexibility where you need it, stiffness everywhere else. amazing material.
