One thing I noticed while traveling the Disney property that day: the Disney Skyliner beats the shit out of the monorail and makes it look like a dinosaur. You have to go through metal detectors to get on the monorail now, but not the skyliner. Also, the floors of the monorail trains are about two inches higher than the platform floor, so if you have a stroller or wheelchair, attendants have to bring over a heavily used ramp to get them on. The skyliner gondolas do not have this problem, and if a handicapped person needs to get on, every station has double loading where some gondolas are switched to a different section where they can board.
Also, the buses are only useful if you are traveling between the hubs (the four theme parks plus Disney Springs), and should only be taken to one of the hotels if that's your final destination, or there's a monorail or skyliner station nearby. There's no telling when a bus going to the exact spot you want to go is going to show up, and if you are traveling from the hotels, and no non-bus transport options are within walking distance, it's best to just drive to the parks. BTW, only resort guests use these buses; no homeless people. The boats that connect some spots, except for the big ferries that connect the Magic Kingdom parking lot to the park, have the same dependability as buses, only they're much slower.
