Only a few *talented* engineers have ever been involved in cycling. Most are shit and too stupid to innovate. The industry just isn't profitable enough to come up with actual improvements. Instead they introduce complications. Jobst was an innovator. Heine and Peterson were at least smart enough to point out that we weren't making improvements. The rest just make it shit.
