>>1624924> but the average 3x7 setup has closer to 650% range.MTB don't need more than 500% range. On an enduro bike with a 10-50t cassette and a 32t chain ring you can climb up any gradient that you want to and can pedal the bike at 40km/h on the flat but you start running into inefficiencies because of pedal bop, rolling resistance of the tyres, aerodynamics, etc.
> Mountain bikers have been complaining about the lack of a top end with 1x for a long time. Two thing. How many MTBers are fit enough to pedal their bike at 40km/h for extended periods of time? How many MTBers are pedaling their bike at >40 km/h whilst riding single track? Also, don't listen to the "MTBers" on /n/ who complain about 1x12 not having enough range. They have never used one in their life.
> Also they make several non-trigger dropper remotes which look like they function just fineI have used both under bar remotes and remotes compatible with front shifters. The under bar remotes are more ergonomic to use, especially the high end remotes that use an over-sized pivot.
