My favorite book about urban planning is The Geography of Nowhere. It has many flaws, and Kunstler's opinions tend to the extreme, but this is actually a fun (and engaging) book to read because it's a strong emotional response to bad design and an unthinking reliance on automobiles.
>>990050Have you read Peter Norton's Fighting Traffic yet? None of the libraries near me have it and I'm not sure whether it's worth putting in an ILL request since I've heard/seen Norton speak about its contents in several podcasts and videos.
