>>1944482Really is a sad, if comfy train. I can't see any of the extensions north happening before the sales tax ends in 2029. Hell BART is already on life support for the foreseeable future. I don't live in Sonoma anymore but still have to go back for work occasionally. Rode the train a few times to Petaluma, Marin, and the long way to the Bay via the ferry. There's thousands of apartments being built around Santa Rosa to absorb everyone leaving SF and Oakland but I can't see there being much demand to commute anywhere on the line much less from Sonoma into Marin.
No direct access to STS, car is pretty much mandatory for going anywhere besides the immediate downtowns. I don't think they'll be anyone left in Healdsburg to consider riding if they ever make it up there.
