At least on the road. Not flared enough for good leverage off road
>Salsa CowchipperA little less reach and drop than the Cowbell, twice as much flare. Pretty great off in the gravel. Hoods end up angled a little weird for long road rides.
>Salsa WoodchipperFuckin' weirdly pitched/flared drops. Basically impossible to set up such that the position on both the hoods and the drops are rideable. Down locked in on the drops is the position for descending with dirt drops, so I mostly see these set up for riding on the tops or the drops, not the hoods.
Think of it as closer to a moustache bar than a road drop bar.
>Soma GatorSimilarly weird like the Woodchipper - no good way to set it up so both the hoods of road levers and the drops are comfy - but the drops are 22.2mm dia for mountain bike shifters/levers/grips. If you just want to ride the tops and drops, this is a really easy way to do a dirt drop MTB without monkeying around with getting bar end shifters and road levers to work with MTB derailleurs and brakes.
(Yes I know that's possible, having built up two dirt drop bikes with road levers. Not the focus here)

>Origin 8 Gary Sweep OSNever ridden it, heard good things.
>Velo Orang Dajia Far/Origin 8 Gary Ergo Sweep OSMy current dirt drop of choice. Usable position on the hoods while road riding or climbing. Super fucking stable in the drops while blasting downhill on the loose stuff. I shred with these.
>>1003141>would a flared bar with mtb shifters on top make any sense ?The bars are the wrong diameter; you'd have do modify the shifters to fit.
>>1003121Still miss my old bike with Mary bars. Comfy for around town, but I couldn't do a lot of hours/distance on them - I need more than the one hand position.
