I have a 2001 Honda Accord I bought for $3500 with 170k miles on it. Been driving it for 3 years and have spent only around 400 bucks on service for it including oil changes. It helps with cycling too since I can take my bike to places I want to ride. Great sense of freedom to be able to drive to, say, the national park which is 100 miles away and get back all in a day. Insurance is 60 bucks a month.
