I've done multiple road trips involving 3-5 days of +12-hour-a-day driving, with only stops for fuel. My old Camry could do close to 500 miles on a tank at ~75mph, so if I fueled up in the morning, I'd usually only stop *once*.
It's not all that different than spending all day in the saddle on a bike ride, really. Plan ahead, get comfortable, get in the zone. It's a matter of mental fortitude and willpower.
