>>1041277Oh wow, thanks for the input! It is far more thorough than I hoped for!
Honestly, I got tricked into buying this bike when I didn't know any better. It used to be a Peugeot Performance 100 painted as a counterfeit F.Moser. When I found out it isn't an Italian classic, I decided to sand-blast the whole thing and powder-coat it in British racing green. This is why the bike is called Skandal (Polish for Scandal).
I agree the bars aren't the best, just what came with the bike (some old ITM pipe), awaiting suitable replacement. Any steps with the bars are laboursome, since that is a DIY stitched leather wrap.
Since the picture was taken, I've replaced the brake levers with Ultegra 6500 brifters, along with Ultegra 53/39 chainset. I've also replaced the brakes for Miche Performance long-drops with cartridge Dura-Ace inserts.
The choice of tires is very limited since I wanted tan sides. The only other option at the time was a set of Schwalbe Luganos, which are even more shitty than those Michelin Dynamics. Some Continental GP 4000IIs are on the upgrade list since they are available with transparent (tan) sides.
Pedals have since been upgraded (?) to PD520 clipless.
The saddle is whatever came with the bike, just wrapped in the same leather as the bars. It is comfortable and I've no intent to change it. The seatpost on the other hand is a real pain. Those old Peugeots had a non-standard seat tube diameter of 23mm. The only seatpost that thin is some generic Decathlon shit, no other models available. It replaced a custom made (turned on a lathe!) pipe with a clamp taken from a Dutch omafiets!
Your criticism is much appreciated, thank you. It also showed me that I really need an updated photo!
