First is a B class
Built by Commonwealth Engineering Corporation (comeng) in Dandenong in the late 1980s/early 1990s
Second is a W5 or W6 class tram, the last of the mighty W class trams built in the 1950s by the Melbourne Metropolitan Tramways Board at the Preston depot. The MMTB was a completely in house vertically integrated setup, it designed, built, operated, and maintained its rolling stock.
W class trams were the exclusive rolling stock in Melbourne from the 1920s to the Z class entering service in the 1970s, and continued in revenue service right into the 1990s.
Today a small batch still operate on the City Circle route, and three are leased to a private operator that has renovated them into restaurants that operate through the most scenic routes
